Reverend Thomas M. Condon, O.P.
Pastor

Rev. Thomas Condon, O.P., is a native Memphian. He attended Christian Brothers High School, and the University of Memphis. Fr. Tom entered the Dominican Order in 1981, and was ordained to the Priesthood in 1988. He holds Master’s degrees in Psychology and Theology, along with a Doctor of Ministry in Homiletics from Aquinas Institute of Theology. He has ministered in Nashville, New Orleans, St. Louis, and San Antonio. Fr. Tom returned to St. Peter’s as pastor in 2006.

Reverend John M Pitzer, O.P.
Associate Pastor & Director of St. Martin Shrine

Rev. John Pitzer, O.P., a native of Texas, has been a member of the Dominican Order since 1994. He is a graduate of Sterling College in Kansas, and finished his theological training at Aquinas Institute of Theology in St. Louis.

Reverend Scott Daniels, O.P.
In Residence

Rev. Scott Daniels, O.P., is a native of Middle Tennessee. He joined the Dominican Order in 1997, and was ordained to the priesthood in 2005. Fr. Scott’s full time ministry is at St. Benedict at Auburndale High School.

Reverend Paul D. Watkins, O.P.
In Residence

Rev. Paul Watkins, O.P. spent his early childhood in Ann Arbor, MI and then his high school and college years in and about New Orleans, LA. He is a graduate of Tulane University. Fr. Paul entered the Dominican Order in 1984 and was ordained in 1990. He has two masters degrees in theology: one from the Dominican School of Philosophy and Theology and another from the Graduate Theological Union. He also has a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Virginia. He has ministered in California, Atlanta, New Orleans and now Memphis. Fr. Paul is the chaplain for university campus ministry for the Diocese of Memphis, including the University of Memphis, Rhodes College and the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center. He also teaches part time in the business school at Christian Brothers University.

Jane Scharding-Smedley
Organist/Choirmaster

Organist-Choirmaster since 1980, Jane oversees the musical and liturgical life of the parish. Jane holds both Bachelor and Master degrees in Sacred Music, and the Colleague and Choirmaster certificates from the American Guild of Organists. A former Board member of the National Association of Pastoral Musicians, she serves as their regional liaison.

Christina Klyce
Director of Religious Education

Christina Klyce has been the Director of Religious Education at St. Peter Church since 2003. Her love for catechesis began as a special ed teacher in the Catholic Schools, and blossomed when she began Catechesis of the Good Shepherd training in 1998. In addition to her work with the children in the atrium, she is committed to the ongoing catechesis of teenagers and adults and helping adults of other faith traditions learn more about the Catholic faith through RCIA.
