For those of you that haven’t yet had a chance to check out Hallow, Hallow is a Catholic prayer and meditation app that helps users deepen their relationship with God through audio-guided contemplative prayer. The app launched 2 years ago and is already the #1 Catholic app in the world. The app has both permanently free content and premium, paid content which goes toward supporting their team as they continually build new prayer experiences. All new subscribers receive a 14-day free trial to check out all of the Hallow content before deciding whether they would like to stick to the free content or subscribe. Dive into the rich history of our parish! Our book study for Fr. John Vidmar O.P.’s new book begins on Tuesday, April 6th and all are welcome to join. We will meet via Zoom on Tuesdays at 7:30 PM. Copies of the book are available online via Amazon or locally at St. Paul Bookstore. To sign up, contact Christina at [email protected] or text YELLOW to 84576.

First Communion Preparation

Per Diocese of Memphis norms, preparation for First Communion is a two-year process, done usually when a child is in grades 1 and 2. This spring and summer, we are offering monthly gatherings for our children who are preparing for First Communion next year (2022). We are using the book I Am the Good Shepherd, and children can meet in person or via Zoom. If your child is in first grade and would like to receive First Communion next year, please contact Christina at [email protected].

Confirmation Preparation

Per Diocese of Memphis norms, preparation for Confirmation is a two-year process, usually done when a student is in grades 7 and 8. Information about preparing for Confirmation may be accessed here: https://www.stpeterchurch.org/sacraments/confirmation/

Children’s Liturgy of the Word (Gr. 3 and younger)

We offer a prayer gathering for children on most Sunday mornings. We read the Sunday Gospel, sing and pray. We have been meeting via Zoom but hope to shift to in-person gatherings soon.

A Prayer for Spiritual Communion

August 13, 2020

Lord Jesus Christ, you promised to be with your Church always, until the end of time.
We long to experience your presence more deeply and more intimately, even when we cannot
gather in person as church to celebrate Eucharist.

We believe that you are present when we gather in worship.

We believe you are present in your sacred word when the Scriptures are proclaimed.

And we believe you are present when your sacred Body and Blood become our food and drink.
Our relationship with you is truly grace.

When I am not able to be physically present at the Eucharist with the community, help me to
strengthen and deepen my relationship with you as I seek to encounter and serve you, not only
in prayer but in all I meet, especially in the poor and needy of our world.

Amen.

Prayer by Sr. Judith M. Kubicki
