Altar Server - Ages 10 through Adult - training required. Archives - Preserves the historical significance of St. Peter Church along with its art, artifacts and documents. Bereavement Ministry - Serve the St. Peter Community during a parishioner's loss of a loved one; prepare meals, assist a funerals and funeral receptions. Communication - Keeps parishioners and the greater community informed about all the activities at St. Peter through the parish web site, social media, signage, brochures, press releases, photography and other means. Dominican Laity - Baptized Catholics can become part of the Dominican Order, living by the Four Pillars of Dominican Spirituality- Prayer, Study, Community and Preaching. Eucharistic Ministers - Assist with the distribution of the Eucharist at the liturgy. Friends of St. Peter - An organization of parishioners and non-parishioners who are committed to preserve and maintain our historic church. Holy Names Jubilee School - Help support our partnership with the neediest of the Jubilee Schools. Hospitality - Provides refreshments after weekend Masses and other occasions throughout the year. Lectors - Proclaim the Word of God at liturgies. Liturgy Committee - Assists in planning our liturgies during the special seasons and throughout the year. Men's Group - Plans social, spiritual, educational and service activities for the men of the parish. Ministry to Sick - Coordinates visits, bringing the Eucharist and other needs to the sick, shut-in and those in nursing homes. Music Ministries - Cantors choir members and other musicians provide music to enhance our liturgies. Outreach - Serves those in need in the community through many ongoing activities and projects. Prayer Shawl Ministry - Make shawls for sick and shut-in, as well as blankets for babies on their baptism. Religious Education for Children - Many ways to be involved: Teach our children as Catechist of the Good Shepherd, 7th and 8th Grade teacher, lead Children's Liturgy of the Word during Sunday liturgy. Sacristan - Sets up altar and prepares and cleans vessels for liturgies. Saintly Seniors - Fun, food, fellowship with friends and Saintly Seniors. First Thursday of each month. St. Martin de Porres National Shrine & Institute - Sponsors many spiritual and educational events throughout the year in the legacy of St. Martin de Porres. Ushers - Ministers of hospitality at our liturgies. Women's Guild - Sponsors social and service activities for the ladies of the church. Supports the weekly maintenance of the altar. Young Adults Group - Single and married people in their 20's and 30's, who gather regularly for spiritual, social, educational and service activities. Youth Ministry - Ministry to teen students including faith development, social activities and service projects.
