The March and April dates for Sensory Friendly Masses have changed. During Lent, we will offer Sensory Friendly Masses on Sundays, March 23 and April 6 at 3:00 p.m. All are welcome, and we hope you can join us!

On Sundays, March 9 and 16, there will be no atrium sessions, Confirmation classes, or youth studies due to the spring break holiday. We will have Children's Liturgy of the Word at both Masses, and the Nursery will be open during Mass (not open between the Masses.)

Confessions will be celebrated at 11:30 and Mass at 12:05 in the St. Martin de Porres Shrine Chapel as usual. Our Dominican friars live on site and are happy to celebrate Mass every day. On Sunday, March 2,, our 11 a.m. Mass will be a special "Family Mass" with our children and teens invited to serve in liturgical ministries! We are looking for the following: Ushers and Lectors (Teens in Grades 7-12), Gift Bearers (1 family any age), Children's Choir (Children ages 3 - 11) If your son or daughter or family would like to serve in one of these ministries, please contact Christina at [email protected] or Heather at [email protected].
Our parish RCIA program has a new name! For the past several decades, Catholic parishes have used the acronym RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) to refer to the process for adults becoming Catholic. On December 1, 2024, a new translation (from Latin to English) was released with a new title, Order of Christian Initiation of Adults or OCIA. St. Peter Choir and Cantors invites YOU to join in Music Ministry! Cantors: More are needed at 5 PM and 8:30 AM Masses. Individual practice provided. We will have the traditional Blessing of the Throats for the Feast of St. Blaise after all Masses this weekend, and after Mass on Monday. All are welcome to get their throats blessed immediately after the final blessing of Mass.
Bring your candles from home to be blessed at the beginning of each Mass this weekend, Feb. 1-2. Place your candles on the marble railing in front of Mary's altar before Mass, and then pick up after Mass is over.
Please pray for the repose of the soul of our beloved Deacon Eddie Ramsey. May his soul and all the souls of our dearly departed rest in peace. The Visitation will be held at Canale Funeral Home (2700 Union Avenue Extended) on Sunday, January 19 from 3pm - 5pm. Rosary at 5pm. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Peter on Monday, January 20 at 1pm with a reception to follow in the Parish Hall.

If you are coming to St. Peter during the week for Daily Mass or another parish event, you may park in the parking lot across the street (201 Adams) for free with your St. Peter Parking Sign or Decal. Due to the winter weather, the Reaching Higher: Our Journey in Faith Men’s Catholic Conference has been postponed for this weekend. A new date for the conference will be planned and communicated in the near future. Those that pre-registered, please watch for direct communications that will address most questions.
All regular faith formation for children and teens is scheduled to resume this Sunday, Jan. 12. This includes all atrium sessions, Confirmation class, and the nursery. In case of winter weather, we will update accordingly by Saturday afternoon.
Many of our infirmed and homebound parishioners greatly desire a connection with our parish and to be remembered when we gather for worship. We need volunteers with gifts of service to help us minister to our parishioners who are not able to join us on Sunday. You would do so by joining them weekly in prayer and by bringing them the presence of the Lord in the Eucharist. 2-Part Eucharistic Minister Training offered on Sundays, Dec. 8 and 15 at 9:45.
